Eaglewood Activities

We have 90 acres of natural woodland for you to explore. Take a walk on our mapped trails and you will discover marshlands, ponds, and clearings, which are inhabited by a variety of birds and small animals.

The Pineridge Trail is paved for easy access and is great for strollers, walkers, wheelchairs or wagons. While you are here take advantage of our many picnic areas, barbeques, swimming pond, fishing pond, sports courts and accessible children's playground, or have a wiener roast and singsong at one of our campfire pits. If you are planning an extended stay, beautiful Lake Simcoe with its many waterfront attractions is close by.

Skating on our ponds and canals is a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of winter. Ski, snowshoe or walk our trails and you are certain to cross numerous animal tracks along the way. Have you tried a winter campfire and wiener roast?

Nearby forest areas provide several kilometers of scenic snowmobile trails, and Lake Simcoe is famous in the winter for its many ice fishing locations.

EQUINE ACTIVITIES

Trail Rides
Enjoy horseback trail rides through 90 acres of natural woodland. Each ride is led by our qualified guide and proceeds at a pace that is comfortable and safe for each rider. Minimum age of riders is 10 years. Younger riders may enjoy pony rides or riding in our arena with supervision. Helmets supplied at no extra cost. Enquire about our Frequent Trail Rider bonus.
* What about including a picnic with your ride? * A birthday party with ponies/horses is always popular.

Driving
Travel the trails in our little two-person horse cart. It’s fun ! The cart will hold our driver and one passenger. It is
also wheelchair accessible and will take 1 person in a manual chair.

Riding for Disabled People
Riding sessions are offered to people with varying abilities on a regular or occasional basis. The program consists of mounted riding time and/or grooming and “groundwork” time depending on the needs and abilities of each rider.

Boarding
Large box stalls, an indoor arena, and excellent trails through the woods provide a great combination for both horse and rider.
English and Western riding lessons are available for Boarders.

Horseback Vacation (“Bed and Bales”)
Our cottages and box stalls provide comfortable accommodations for both you and your horse. Enjoy riding on our woodland trails, or venture further and explore nearby Regional Forest trails.
